PicIt is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.

What that means in practice

Every link on this site that goes to Amazon is an affiliate link. If you click one and buy something, Amazon pays me a small commission. You pay exactly the same price you would have paid otherwise — the commission comes out of Amazon’s margin, not your pocket.

Those links are marked in the page’s HTML as nofollow sponsored, which is the standard way of telling search engines that a link is paid. They open in a new tab so you don’t lose your place here.

What it does not mean

• No brand pays to appear on PicIt. Nobody has ever paid me to include a product, and if that changes, this page changes first and the placement gets labelled.
• Commission rates vary by category, but I don’t rank picks by what pays more. If the better product earns me less, the better product still wins.
• I don’t show prices, star ratings, or review counts anywhere on this site. Those change constantly, and Amazon’s rules only permit displaying them when they come from their API in real time. Amazon shows you the real number on their page.

How picks get chosen

Some of these are things I own. Some are things I researched carefully because I was about to buy them. Every blurb on this site is written by me — none of it is copied from Amazon listings or from customer reviews.

Being an Amazon affiliate does not make me an Amazon employee, and nothing here is reviewed or endorsed by Amazon.
